ANNIKA WINES
Ok, bad mom, I missed most of what the principal said because one un-named 3 year old was busy talking and sitting in front of my face. Also I was taking pictures. Based on what her lovely teacher, Ms. Tuterow said, Annika got the award this month for being - helpful, responsible and compasionate. What is interesting, is that the winner gets this really great job of putting the chairs on the desks in the classroom. Personally, it sounds a little fishy - "How can we get kids to pick up their chairs? Make it an award!!!!" Regardless, we are all very proud and Annika is excited about chair duty.
So what prestigeous gift do we give our winner? A trip to Cold Stone!!!

Awesome! Go Annika! Congratulations on being student of the month!
Cindy, I agree about the award. Very smart teacher.
Coldstone is a much better reward. I'd have gone for chocolate chip and coconut and.... sigh.... fond memories.
I love you all,
Aunt Kathie aka Great Aunt Kathie
HOORAY FOR ANNIKA! And I get to take her out for another dessert to celebrate tonight!
Okay, I am with you, Cindy on the ice cream flavor, the other two honestly make me feel a bit ill.
And I am going to nab that teacher's idea-brilliant! She has obviously has the ins and outs down, compared to a 13-year rookie like me. I can't wait to tell Tom.
Congratulations, Annika!
That teacher is a genius.
But Annika is a STAR!!! Superb!
I keep meaning to mention that the artwork in the background of the picture of Ani and her teacher is so impressive. When I first saw the picture, I thought it was a stained glass window and only slowly realized it was kids' art. Very cool.
