Robot Legs are Cool

"I wish I had a robot leg"

Out of the blue, I heard him tell me this. No context, we weren't discussing robots, Transformers or legs at the time, but sure enough, out came this thought.

"Why do you want a robot leg?"

"Michael has a robot leg. I met him and he has a cool robot leg." (I found out later that Michael is a boy he met while with a friend.)

"I am sure Michael wishes he had a real leg and I am glad you have a real leg"

"No, his leg is cooler. I still want a robot one."

"Well, you should be happy that you have the legs you were born with"

"Being a robot is cool, so are robot legs"

I wound up changing the subject, since there was no way I was going to convince him that it is better to have your real legs. Robot legs are just better...
