Happy Birthday Trevor!

Our boy is 4 today. Officially, he will tell you that he is now a big boy. Very big.
He is a boy of mischief and loving devotion. He is a boy that has you sitting on eggshells as he plays and puts you in awe as he peacefully sleeps. He is a boy who enjoys keeping all adults on their toes. He is a loving brother to his big sister and giver of some of the sweetest kisses and strongest hugs. He is a fierce friend and a protector of all those who are smaller than himself. Trevor is everything a little, or now big boy needs to be.

Ah, Technology

There are things I can't reference without an explanation when talking to my kids; albums, cassette tapes and of course the phrase "You sound like a broken record". Today, Trevor had his speech evaluation. One of the exercises was to look at a picture and say what it was. He was flying through the pictures when a picture likes this appeared:

He was speechless. He looked for a bit and then said "Two Phones?" He didn't know what the "string" was for. Apparently, most of the kids who take this test have no idea what it is.

Pretty soon, people will be saying, "That is the greatest thing, since the cordless phone"

Happy Easter!

Annika asked me what Easter was for. I tried to explain, but she didn't understand how the rabbit got mixed in with Jesus. I changed the subject. She forgot her questions this morning when she realized the bunny had come and brought an abundance of goodies. Annika was a sport and helped Trevor...a bit... She was more concerned with finding enough to fill her bucket. She was also not interested in finding the eggs, just the candy. If she found an egg - "Trevor, come look over here". He found the peeps, her favorite. He was not convinced he didn't like them. In the end, they split everything down the middle. All of the actual eggs were found, so there is no chance of walking into the house in a few weeks and wondering what the odd smell is.
