There are things I can't reference without an explanation when talking to my kids; albums, cassette tapes and of course the phrase "You sound like a broken record". Today, Trevor had his speech evaluation. One of the exercises was to look at a picture and say what it was. He was flying through the pictures when a picture likes this appeared:

He was speechless. He looked for a bit and then said "Two Phones?" He didn't know what the "string" was for. Apparently, most of the kids who take this test have no idea what it is.
Pretty soon, people will be saying, "That is the greatest thing, since the cordless phone"

That is hilarious. Maybe they leave that picture in for comic relief. I did like Trevor's answer.
Thomas still...STILL has a corded phone way up in the kitchen cabinet somewhere in case we lose power and need a phone. In over 7 years, I cannot convince him to give up this phone. Honestly.
How fascinating... The phone here at my desk still has a chord. So funny that kids today don't know what that is... and funny about the broken record.
I remember when there were no computers and the "memory typewriter" was a major technological wonder.
And now I feel very old.
Nice to have you posting again.
I Love You,
Aunt Kathie
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! This is awesome!
I still have a phone with a cord, but it isn't plugged in. Dad made this crazy awesome wooden stand for it, and so I have kept it, proudly on display, despite the fact that I only use a cell phone now.
The phone actually sits on my desk, right next to the huge insane tire gauge that he made out of parts from his workshop.
